THERAPY CHECKLIST

 
  • A private place, free from distractions

  • A fast, secure internet connection

  • Get comfy! Sweatpants, hot tea, your pet snuggling nearby, scented candles, special crystals or objects are all great!

  • Headphones if desired

  • Decent lighting - please try not to be backlit

  • If you’re using a laptop or desktop computer, simply follow the prompt from Simple Practice. If you are on a tablet, please download the Simple Practice telehealth app here.

  • Be hands-free - make sure your device is set up in a way that allows you freedom of movement

  • Tissues - you never know when the tears might flow (or as one client said “Hi, I’m here for my crying appointment…”)

  • Water or tea

  • Journal for notes and insights

  • Sketchpad and colored media, if you like to express yourself this way

  • Warm blanket, sweatshirt or other warm layers in case your body temperature drops during session

  • Have a small, lined trashcan nearby

  • Please make sure to have eaten in the last 3-4 hours, or bring a snack
